Curt Schilling’s second career in games is start of a long journey

One of the highlights of the Comic-Con conference this week in San Diego was the unveiling of Curt Schilling’s first video game, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning . Declaring his “second career, second opening day” in video games, the former Boston Red Sox pitcher revealed details about the first game to be released by 38 Studios , the game company that he has bankrolled in part with the money he made as a professional baseball player.

Apple’s 27" iMac only supports native or 720p video input, no 1080p

Apple’s revised 27″ iMac introduced this spring debuted a new feature: a Mini DisplayPort video port that worked in both directions, enabling external video sources to output video to the screen. That feature is largely limited to 720p in HDTV applications however

HuffPo Summer Vacation Plans: Launch Travel Vertical

Although most people have long since planned their summer vacations, Huffington Post hopes that there’s still enough time to attract readers and advertisers to the travel vertical it’s launching in beta later this afternoon. The introduction of a travel section follows the food and arts channels HuffPo unveiled this spring. The online news site, which was once primarily associated with left-of-center political news and opinion, is planning on rolling out additional verticals, though the company declined to offer specifics.
