So many in the news business focus on the belief that they’re in the “news” business, but that’s never really been the case. Survey Finds Gap in Attitudes Between the Cloud "Haves" and "Have-Nots"

London-based communications SaaS provider Mimecast has announced the results of its second annual Cloud Adoption Survey . The survey, conducted by independent research firm Loudhouse, assessed the attitudes of IT decision-makers in the U.S. and UK about cloud computing.

Twitter Offers Following Suggestions [Voices]

By John Murrell Seeking to deepen user engagement, Twitter has been looking for ways to give its members, especially the newer ones, more guidance when it comes to navigating the sea of chatter and finding interesting streams. Today, it’s rolling out “Suggestions for You,” personalized recommendations for interesting folks to follow, generated by an algorithm that takes into account the people you already follow and the people they follow (although no one should be surprised if Twitter eventually makes it possible for well-heeled users to buy their way into the recommendations ).

A PeopleRank powers Twitter’s new user suggestions feature

Twitter is starting to give personalized recommendations for people to follow, as it pushes to increase retention of new users. The company will suggest accounts based on who you currently follow and who those accounts follow, according to a blog post today. Users will also see recommendations for people to follow when they look at other Twitter users’ profiles
